Ati Tribe Tribu Familia Sagasa initially participated in the Dinagyang Festival in 1969, with Mr. Fred Cepeda serving as the Tribe Manager. It is located at Sagasa St., Barangay Sto. Rosario-Duran, a small community of people who have a common reverence for the Child Jesus, Señor Sto. Niño.

In the aforementioned festival, Tribu Familia Sagasa firstly attained recognition and was declared champion in 1977. They participated in 1978 as a “guest” tribe, performing as a non-competing tribe. Tribu Familia Sagasa took a break from the competition in the years before.
