For years, Ramon Avanceña National High School’s Tribu Dagatnon has been part of the religious and cultural celebration, the Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo.
Starting its journey in 2016, the tribe placed 4th Runner-Up in 2018 and 3rd Runner in 2019. It placed 4th Runner again in 2020 in the Dinagyang 360, amidst the challenges brought back by pandemic.
This year, Tribu Dagatnon continues the journey bearing its original name, TRIBU SIGABONG. Tribu Sigabong which placed 3rd Runner-up, garnered Best in Costume and Best in Discipline back 2004.
Tribu Sigabong is coined from the sound of the fire crackers and pyrotechnics which Arevalo district is famous for.
To give an astounding performance, Tribu Sigabong is back. Tribu Sigabong will conquer the streets with the beats of the drums, with the beaming smiles and vibrant energy of the student performers, and with much fervor and strong devotion to Sr. Sto. Niño.
